What's New?
1. Valuing library collections
SCIS sometimes receive requests from Teacher Librarians who are required to place a value on the their collections for insurance purposes. You may wish to read the useful information located at <http://www.eddept.wa.edu.au/centoff/cmis/eval/library/avprice/index.htm> to assist you in the preparation of your Disaster Management Policy.
2. Internet content complaints
There are laws that allow members of the public to complain about certain offensive Internet content to the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA). Australia's online hotline for Internet content complaints is <http://www.aba.gov.au/whaVonline/complaints.htm>. You can complain to the ABA about material on the World Wide Web, postings to newsgroups and other stored information.
